If you have two days in Zhangjiajie, you can use one day to visit the main scenic area of Zhangjiajie (Wulingyuan) Forest Park, while it is strongly recommended that you have a day tour to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Winter is the off-season, but Zhangjiajie has its unique beauty, with fewer visitors and better experience. You can come here to enjoy the rime and snow scenery in the mountains. In addition, Jiangya, not far from the core scenic area of Zhangjiajie, has a hot spring resort which is particularly recommended. After a hike in the mountain area, you can take a day off to relax in the hot spring to wash away travel fatigue and warm your body in the cold winter.   7:00-8:00 Hotel Pick-up and Bus to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
First of all, it is suggested that you stay in a hotel in Wulingyuan Town instead of the downtown area of Zhangjiajie the day before. In the morning, our guide will wait for you at the lobby of your own-booked hotel,and accompany you on a short taxi ride to the Wulingyuan Bus Station, where there is a direct bus running to the ticket office of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon.

  8:00-12:00 Explore Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
Upon arrival, our guide will lead you to walk along the plank road passing through the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, which is cool and quiet with fresh air, lush primeval forest, and lots of waterfalls and springs. Feel the charm of nature and challenge yourself at the most thrilling attraction in the canyon - Yuntiandu Glass Bridge, the world's highest and longest glass bridge, with the world's highest bungee jump in the center. Standing on the bridge, you can see a panoramic view of the valley 300 meters below.

  12:00-13:00 Lunch Break
At the exit of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, you can take a noon break. It is recommended that you prepare some take-away food for lunch, or try some simple local food at the scenic spot at your own expense. This afternoon we will enjoy a hot spring bath, but it is not appropriate to go to a hot spring immediately after eating too much, so you can rest for a while.
  13:00-13:30 Transport to Jiangya Hot Spring
After a noon break, our guide will accompany you to travel to the Jiangya Hot Spring Resort. There is no direct bus from the Grand Canyon to Jiangya Hot Spring, and waiting for a passing bus can waste a lot of time. Our guide will help you hire a taxi or local car to reach the hot spring in half an hour.
  13:30-17:00 Leisure Time in Jiangya Hot Spring
The main way to visit the core scenic area of Zhangjiajie is on foot, which consumes a lot of physical energy. If you are tired from walking in the past few days, it will be very agreeable to come here to soak in the hot spring and spend a leisurely afternoon. Jiangya Hot Spring Resort is the only semi-open-air hot spring with an archaized style in western Hunan. In this garden-like resort, you can stroll along the cobblestone paths and find your favorite pool to stay for a relaxed afternoon.
 
There are more than 20 kinds of outdoor and indoor hot spring pools with different characteristics, including waterfall hot spring, slate hot spring, coconut milk pool, flowers and plants pool, coffee pool, and wine pool. The water of Jiangya Hot Spring is clear, and the outlet temperature of the spring is kept at about 54℃ all the year round. The hot spring water is rich in a variety of minerals and trace elements beneficial to health. It has special curative effect on neuropathic bone pain and rheumatism. It can relax tendons, activate the body, and nourish the skin. In addition, the resort offers Thai and Chinese massages, food service, and sports and fitness facilities.
  17:00-18:00 Get Back to Zhangjiajie
In the late afternoon, the guide will accompany you back to the Wulingyuan Town, which is near the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Follow the guide to walk 5 minutes southeast from the hot spring resort, you’ll find the Jiangya Bus Station where we will take a bus to Wulingyuan Bus Station in one hour. Finally, our guide will escort you back to your hotel and our service will end here.
  Travel Tips
1. Alternatively, if you don't want to go far away to Jiangya Hot Spring, you can choose the Ma’ershan Hot Spring Resort, which is closer to downtown Zhangjiajie and can be reached in 30 minutes by taxi.

2. If you have finished the visit of Zhangjiajie and want to transfer to other destinations, you can take the through bus from the Jiangya Hot Spring to downtown Zhangjiajie. It runs every hour and ends at the gate of Guanghe Supermarket on Ziwu Road of Zhangjiajie. It takes 1.5 hours and the ticket price is CNY 30. Make sure you arrange your time well and don't miss the last bus at 18:00.
