Questions & Answers on Chinese Embassy in South Korea
Asked by George Woody from USA | Oct. 10, 2024 00:19Reply
Question about expired US Passport with valid China Visa. I have a new valid US PassPort.
I am a US citizen in Korea now and need to take a trip to Beijing, China November ~ 12th thru 14th, 2024.
I have a valid US Passport with expiration Date 06 April 2031.
I have a valid China Visa with expiration 05 April 2027, but the stamp label for the valid Visa was
added to my old passport before it expired 19 June 2021.
Can I bring both passports and get into China? I will only be in China 2 or 3 days.

Russian citizens: one needs to extend X2 visa, other needs to changhe x2 to x1
Hello! We are a couple from Russia currently living in China and studying there. Is it possible to extend X2 visa for my husband ( because this visa will be over quite soon)? And change x2 visa which I have till August to a X1 one as I'm enrolled to a university?
Thanks for answer in advance. Kind regards.

The X2 visa can be extended and I'm not sure about X2 to X1. You may ask the exit and entry administration for information.

You need to fill in the application form online and print it out, prepare the requirements and summit your application to the visa center in Seoul, Busan, Gwangju or Jeju. An additional requirement is your residence permit in South Korea.

I think it's yes if you have a legal resident permit in South Korea. Requirements needed:
Passport
Visa Application Form and Photo
Proof of legal stay or residence status
One of the following documents:
Foreigners Employment Permit of the People's Republic of China
Permit for Foreign Experts Working in China or Notification Letter of Foreigners Work Permit in China
