We had a fantastic day with Chloe our guide. Despite the typhoon weather, we were able to have a good day seeing the sights and making the most of our time in Shanghai. Chloe was able to tailor the day to fit our interests and was a pleasure to spend time with. We enjoyed trying the different Shanghai speciality’s and the museum was a highlight.

A highly recommended day trip outside of Shanghai. It’s a unique experience to see a traditional water village and beautiful gardens. Our guide Chloe was informative and made sure we had all of our questions answered. We had the chance to meet local artists, and enjoy a traditional lunch. I would recommend the tour, and if you are lucky to get Chloe as your guide you will have a good time!

It was the highlight of my trip to Beijing. Hellen contacted me the day before, and she arranged pick up in my hotel so I didn’t have to worry about anything. I love Chinese history and she told us so many great stories about empress Cisi, the first emperor of china, the Great Wall etc. The whole group was super happy with her and after the tour they dropped us in a nice downtown area and we had dinner together. 5 starts.

My tour guide was Tracy. I shared the tour with other 7 people, so it was a pretty personalized tour. Tracy had much knowledge to share. She explained the most important dynasties and the importance of them. We visited all that was in the itinerary and no shopping was included. We had plenty of time to look around, and Tracy asked us every time if we needed more time for photos. So we did not feel rushed. I will recommend it again and if you get Tracy, then you are in for a treat. She was fantastic!

Travel China Guide is a good company, and Tracy was an excellent tour guide. We debated whether to visit the Terracotta Warriors on our own, because there is a lot of information on the internet about how to do it. But we are so glad we went with a tour!

There are so many complicated issues that come up regarding transportation, tickets, entrances, security checks, etc. Tracy was able to give us valuable advice regarding what order to do things in, where to get the best photos, and background information on what we were viewing (which is not available by just visiting). She even helped a member of our party who was stopped for a backpack full of photographic equipment.

Best of all, Tracy was informative and entertaining. The bus driver was good also. Even though the tour description says lunch is on your own, Tracy led us to a very good restaurant which allowed everyone to sit together and order whatever they wanted. She just made the whole tour so much easier to navigate.

Small Wild Goose Pagoda was beautiful, but because of renovation we were not able to visit inside. City wall was nice, but that I think you can do on your own. We decided not to go to the Muslim Bazaar with the tour, but will definitely go on our own.

We had a wonderful 2-days tour to the greatest highlights of Beijing, among them the Great Wall, Old Beijing, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, and Forbidden City. The tour started by picking us up at our hotel, and we were also dropped off at the end of the day. The visits to the various points were very well distributed including lunch and time to rest or take photos. Be prepared to long walks though. KEVIN our guide was amazing showing great historical and cultural knowledges. He was very kind and gave us precise timely instructions where to meet and the best angles to take pictures. We enjoyed a lot and highly recommend this tour and especially want to say thank you Kevin!

We spent 4 days in ZhangJiaJie with Travel China Tours and our local guide Mr Luo Jia Le was the best guide we ever had! He was very experienced and professional, making our visit to ZhangJiaJie a very memorable experience. He showed us all the important sites, and all the various spots for the best photos.
ZhangJieJie is really an amazing place, the scenery was really awesome. We were impressed by how modern ZhangJiaJie is, with its super speed escalator which brough us right up to the highest point within 88 seconds!, saving us the tiring climb. Even the numerous escalators down were impressive. ZhangJieJie has many fun activities such as the Cliff Walk, Bungee, Zipline, VR.

Special mention to our Travel Consultant Ms Emily Xin at China Travel Tours. Emily assisted in planning our 16 days itinerary with great details, patience and so professional with almost instant response, making our holidays a wonderful unforgettable time in China.

The mini group tour is a very good opportunity to cover the most popular spots in Xi'An. Our guide Lily picked us up from our Hotel and we drove straight to the Terracotta Army. Lily's extensive background knowledge allowed us to really learn a lot about the historical backgrounds of the army, the emperor and the dynasties.
The tour included also the small wild goose pagoda, the city wall and ended at the Muslim Bazaar. We had wonderful weather and Lily pointed us towards the best photo spots. I would really recommend this tour to anyone visiting Xi'An.

After a lot of email correspondence I would like to thank Sally Si for arranging a wonderful seamless bespoke itinerary for our tour of the Yunnan province that was within my budget. Our hotels we of a good standard also our guides were friendly knowledgeable and very helpful nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend using this company. My only concern was paying by bank transfer instead of credit card but it worked out fine and I received an invoice immediately after they received my payment so I will definitely use Travel China Guide again in the future.

Amy Jian from Travel China Guide is a very efficient n competent travel consultant. I just let her know the places we want to visit in Beijing,Xian, Chongqing n the Yangtze cruise we want to take and also we a group of 10 would like to travel from each city by fast trains. Amy came out with a very detailed itinerary for us. Every transportation, hotels, tour guides she recommended to us were good in their jobs n speak fluent English. We went for the mini tours in Beijing, Xian, Chongqing and the Yangtze River Cruise to the 3 Gorges Dam arranged by Amy Jian, who did an excellent job for the group of 10 of us. We were taken good care of and she did a fantastic job of making sure our needs are taken care of.

We had a most wonderful day out with our English speaking tour guide Celine, she's very experienced and explains the history of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and how the Terracota Museum was constructed in great detail & with interesting facts. We got into the Terracota museum nice & early ahead of everyone else and she guided us to all the perfect photo spots. Lunch was delicious too, and in the afternoon we had another great session with Celine taking us through the Xi'an museum visits & the beautiful Wild Goose Pagoda garden followed by City Wall and finally the Muslim Quarters. We were very lucky to book this tour via TripAdvisor and having Celine from TCG (Travel China Guide) great tour.

I had an amazing time at the Great Wall with Kitty. Kitty not only had all the knowledge, but she also took wonderful photos of myself. I went with her to Jinshanling part in the morning and the afternoon we went to Gubei Water Town and the Simatai part of the wall. She recommended ideas of food to have lunch (really tasty noodles) and even taught me some basic words in Chinese. I can’t recommend Kitty fast enough. When I return to China I will arrange a tour with her again. Thanks for everything!!!

Absolutely fantastic tour, highly recommend!! Celine was awesome!! Her English was excellent, she was extremely knowledgeable about Chinese History and the City, she kept everyone well hydrated with ample water available and help us translate at lunchtime to ensure we all got to try amazing local dishes which were of excellent quality but quite cheap compared to Australian prices anyway. She went above and beyond, even helped me with a power bank rental when my phone almost died. The tour was well organised, informative, and they got us to the terracotta warriors before the big crowds so we could get easy photos and not much pushing to see the warriors. We spent a good amount of time everywhere we went, never felt rushed, and Celine knew the spots to get the best photos. We were even lucky enough to see a special limited time exhibition at the Terracotta Warriors site. The little wild goose pagoda, Xi’an museum and city wall were also well worth seeing. At the end of the tour we had the option of being taken back to our hotels or being dropped off at Muslim Street to enjoy the street food, shops and crowds. Would come back again to this tour and recommend to all my family and friends. Was truly fantastic and I can’t recommend or thank Celine enough!! Thank you!

My mini group Xi’an half day tour to Terracotta Army was a unique and an amazing experience. This archaeological site is one of the major and most astonishing discoveries in the world. I am also grateful to our guide Celine for providing us interesting historical facts and insights as well as background information about the ongoing archaeological excavations.

I love Xi’an the best among the cities visited so far for its vibrant, colourful lights in the evening and its rich historical sites. This experience is made richer with a pleasant, experienced guide, TracyYu, who is well versed in Xian’s history n culture, explaining things in fluent English.

I took the private solo trip for 3 days, with Rocky my guide.. he was absolutely wonderful. He told about the history about the sites we visited, what I liked the best was the information given... it was like he was narrating a story. Which made the experience even better. Shanghai is breathtaking ! Probably the most vibrant city on the planet. Our guide, Sophie Lee, made our day trip very enjoyable. Her expert knowledge of the city, it's hostory and it's offerings was comprehensive. Sophie tailored the day to our taste and was very helpful with extra-tour needs. We were staying in beijing for only 1 day, so we decided to book the 1 day Tianmen square, forbidden city and mutianyu great wall tour.
The booking process was super easy and we got the confirmation straight away.
On he big day, they picked us up from the hotel with a small bus. Our tourguide, Kevin was a really nice person. He was very knowledgable about the history and the sights and happily answered any questions we had.
10/10 would book this in the future.

What a fantastic day, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and The Great Wall. All three were more than we had hoped for but made all the better having Bruce as our guide.
Bruce gave us all the historical facts but with some fun as well, he was excellent. The booking process was smooth and Bruce called us the evening before to confirm the meeting time. I would highly recommend China Travel Guide and Bruce, without them the day wouldn’t have been anywhere near as successful as it was.

The tour agency does a great job helping organize tours in various places and cities in China. This river cruise was no exception. The scenery is spectacular, unlike anywhere else in the world. The boats are quite comfortable, and the upper deck is large enough to accommodate all the tourists willing to spend time outside to soak in the magnificent panorama. Lunch provided on the boat is quite decent, with an option to purchase some extra items, which I greatly enjoyed local freshwater snails. Our tour guide spoke very good English, was mostly attentive and helpful.

Our trip to Forbidden city and the Great Wall of China was excellently managed by our guide Kevin from Travel China Guide. He made sure we get all the details of the places we were visiting and also provided the historical details making it a very interesting and memorable trip. Day well spent in knowing the heritage and history of China. I highly recommend Travel China Guide if anyone wants to plan a day trip to Great Wall.

Our guide Lily was extremly nice and had a big knowledge on every historical topic we came upon. Xi'an is a beautiful city. The historical sights were are great - especially the Terracotta worriers. We could even make one ourselves which I loved! The Tang-performance during the dumpling dinner was magical! 100% recommend!

We started our incredible trip to China right from the capital, spending 4 days there. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a smiling Emily who was our guide for this experience. Without his support it would have been difficult to move forward but above all to make ourselves understood. The first day we dedicated to some food tours that we had booked independently before arriving. From the second day the real discoveries began, again together with Emily, we visited the Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of the Lamas. Truly magnificent structures full of history. The following day we set off for the Great Wall and even though the weather was foggy, we managed to enjoy the arduous walk and the view once we reached the highest point still accessible to tourists. in the evening there was no shortage of delicious dinner based on the famous Peking duck, a delight. Before leaving Beijing for the next stop (Xi'an) we made an inspection where the recent 2022 Olympic Games were held and then visited the Summer Palace. Thanks to Emily and her skills, in just a few days we visited the best of Beijing and were able to listen to the history of the emperors and the various dynasties that followed one another over the years. Beijing is definitely worth a visit. Thanks Emily, see you soon, who knows.
Next stop, after a train trip, Xi'An. Thanks to the friendly and welcoming local guide Céline it was possible to visit the famous army of terracotta soldiers, admire the Buddhist pagoda, take a tour of the city walls and walk among the Chinese pensioners admiring how they spend their days. Not only that, we had the experience of dressing for a few hours in the typical clothes inspired by the Thang dynasty and attending a cultural show at the city theater with traditional dances, songs and music. Last but not least we visited the mosque and the Muslim quarter of the city. All enriched by the precise and detailed explanations of Céline who immediately proved to be competent and open to our questions and curiosities. There was no shortage of valuable advice on the food to taste; the dumplings and typical nudles in the Muslim quarter, a delight. Stop in Xi'an highly recommended, thank you Céline for your availability and professionalism.
After another train journey we arrived in Chengdu, where the young Sherry was waiting to take us to the hotel. The stay here is short but intense. The day after arrival we spend it at the Gianta Panda Base Camp, not the only one but by far the largest and most famous in China. We were able to enjoy the sight of the adorable giant pandas and their brothers, the little red pandas. It was a super day in this immense reserve where these mammals feel truly at ease, definitely worth a visit if you are passing through Chengdu. Sherry then introduced us to a real tea house, what a relaxed and peaceful environment, a unique experience. How can you not try the typical and very spicy Hot Pot. It's a must. Early the next day we say goodbye to Sherry and thank her for her time spent together and with a domestic flight we head towards our last half; Shanghai.
Waiting for us in an unusually sultry Shanghai (30°) is Cuck, who with his gab immediately tells us about the first visit to the old Zhujiajiao village, where we taste the steecky rice with pork, mmmmh. We were then accompanied to the hotel for check-in, then we went alone into the Yu Garden area and tasted some absolutely delicious Xiaolongbao. a full belly we then go to the Shanghai Tower area to steal some shots with the most impressive skyscrapers. Next we go to the imposing Shanghai Museum East, inaugurated a few months ago. It would take a day to visit it all but we are happy with a couple of hours. To conclude the cold but interesting day with Cuck (yesterday 30° - today 10°) we enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu river to admire the Bund and all the other skyscrapers. We spend the last two days free and enjoy some relaxation in the hotel and the surrounding area, visiting the Pearl Tower and the Bund in search of our last Xiaolongbao. Thanks to Cuck for the support and transfer to the airport, the time has come to return. An unforgettable experience, which we certainly recommend, especially with a guided tour planned in advance. Thanks to the guides who accompanied and supported us in this adventure.

We had a wonderful informational tour of the Great Wall and the forbidden city with our tour, guide Selena, from Travel china Guide. We were so pleased with every detail about the tour, and Selena was very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to be with, and made our days in Beijing delightful and so worthwhile.

Our guide Tracy from Travel China Guide is a very experienced, knowledgeable,thoughtful, loving n caring guide. She even went an extra mile to get a cake to celebrate my bday with my friends which was out of my expectation. Kudos to her for being such a kind n wonderful guide. Her English was good n we didn't have difficulty understanding her when she explained the places of interest to us. A big clap for her excellent work.

Both sights were awesome in their own right; it felt surreal to be at Tiananmen Square and inside The Forbidden City, not to mention to physically be on the Great Wall of China and climbing it.

However, as someone who had already been to both tourist attractions before, what made this experience 10x better was our tour guide, Rocky! His English commentary was absolutely fantastic, giving us both in-depth stories as well as interesting insights on all parts of the tour. As a tour guide myself of over 5 years, I understand how difficult it is to be this insightful, friendly and funny every single day, and I cannot recommend Rocky enough! Make sure you try to ask for Rocky if you are booking this tour!

I'm glad I went to that tourist trip. It help me learn about China and their culture. There were a lot of different tasty food and wonderful places to visit. The tour group was very kind and funny. I enjoy every moment of it. I suggested that you pick that tourist if you ever planned to go to China.
