Today, you get an opportunity to marvel at a real stunner of the Chinese landscape, Mount Taishan. At 08:30 in the morning our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel you booked on your own in downtown Jinan, and transfer you to the Mt. Tai Scenic Area, a 1.5-hour ride, to start this 1 day Taishan tour. At the entrance, we will take an ecological sightseeing bus to the Mid-Heaven Gate (Zhongtianmen). After disembarking, we will stroll for about 5-8 minutes to the lower station of the cable transport along a section of well-paved road. Then we take the cable car to the South Heaven Gate (Nantianmen), which brings you an amazing view of the nearby rolling peaks.

From South Heaven Gate, you need to trek for about half an hour along the stairway to reach the summit of Mount Tai. It could be a bit energy-consuming, but we will go at a comfortable pace and take short breaks along the journey. As you soak up the views, we will arrange a simple Chinese lunch for you at a restaurant on the mountain. As the food is quite limited in the scenic area, we encourage carrying some snacks in case the lunch does not agree with your taste.

After that, we reverse the trip back to the foot of the mountain, and then take a 20 minutes' drive to the Dai Temple. It is a time-honored and well-preserved Taoist temple. We will spend one hour there exploring ancient buildings and sacrificial objects. Lastly, at around 18:00 our driver will transfer you to the hotel you booked in Jinan, and your memorable Jinan to Taishan tour ends here.

Tour Highlights
Mount Taishan
Located in Tai'an City, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Jinan, Mt. Tai enjoys the fame of 'The First Mountain in China'. Generations of emperors had enshrined and worshiped Mt. Tai to pray for affluence and peace for the country. Meanwhile, on Mount Taishan, you can see many buildings in Taoist, Buddhist and Confucian styles. Also, the far-reaching cliff inscriptions have become an additional sight to its cultural mosaic. Mt. Tai boasts a lot of verdant pines and cypresses as well as crystal clear brooks, which add more majesty to the landscape. The ethereal mist, sea of clouds and rosy sunset glow make the mountain a dream-like world. At the highest peak on Mount Taishan, you can also have a glimpse of the surrounding hills.

Dai Temple
Nestling at the southern foot of Mt. Taishan, the Dai Temple was first built during the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD). It used to be the place for emperors to practice sacrificial rituals and worship the god of Mount Tai. As a large ancient architectural complex, the temple houses more than 150 rooms, which collect sacrificial utensils, offerings, inscribed tablets and other artifacts.
