Our Guests at the Forbidden City
The itinerary of your exciting China tour package from Singapore starts with Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (Treasure Gallery included), the home to Chinese Ming and Qing (1368-1911 AD) emperors as well as the ceremonial and political center of China at that time.

Enjoy an a la carte lunch at an elegant restaurant where Beijing cuisine and Peking Roast Duck are served. After lunch, visit Yonghe Temple, or Yonghe Lamasery, and Temple of Heaven, the imperial sacrificial altar complex for Ming and Qing eras. A live Peking Opera Show is prepared for you this evening in Liyuan Theatre; we will arrive earlier at the dressing room and see the art performers putting on “lianpu” or make-up and dressing themselves.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, A la carte welcome lunch
Day 3 Beijing
Visit Mutianyu Great Wall by round-trip cable car and toast for Great Wall challenge with red wine; drive by Olympic Bird's Nest; then take a rickshaw ride through Hutong alleys and visit a local family in a traditional courtyard house. (B)
Temple of Heaven
Visit Mutianyu Great Wall after breakfast. Standing on this key section of the Great Wall, you will be amazed at the majesty of this military project and the beauty of the scenery as a whole. As climbing the Wall requires tons of efforts, to save energy we will specially arrange a round-trip cable car for you. We will also prepare a red wine group toasting on the wall to honor this moment.

Later, get back to downtown Beijing. Drop by Olympic National Stadium and take photos, before continuing on to the hutong area. Hutongs, alleys lined with residential courtyard houses, are where to encounter local life. A rickshaw ride through hutongs and a visit to a local family await. After that, we will transfer you back to the hotel.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an

Day 5 Xi'an
Visit Terracotta Army and the discoverer’s home of the first terracotta warrior; have a unique experience to make your own mini clay warrior; continue to visit Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and then enjoy dumpling dinner and Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show in the evening. (B+L)
The Terracotta Army
After breakfast, take an excursion to Terracotta Army to behold life-sized military formations of clay soldiers and horses, Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 – 210 BC)’s funeral objects. Of those soldiers on display, a kneeling archer would particularly draw your attention, as he’s the only unearthing that has remained intact for 2,000 years without restoration; it’s because when the burial pit caved in, all the standing soldiers were bearing the impact from above, to save the less tall squatted archer from being crushed. The mystery of how the army was discovered will be unraveled as well, as you will visit the first discoverer’s family to seek knowledge. Make a mini clay warrior by yourself under tutelage in a workshop and take it with you, before we go back to downtown.

Visit Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the afternoon. In the evening, you will be entertained by a fascinating show of Tang Dynasty Music and Dance while having a delicious Dumpling Dinner.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Dumpling dinner

Please note:
Guests visiting in January, February, March and December need to arrange the dinner and evening activity on their own for this day, since the theater is usually not open at these times.
Day 6 Xi'an
Connect with local people at City Wall Park and learn to practice Tai Chi from a master, then visit City Wall; taste local flavors for lunch at Muslim Quarter; in the afternoon visit Great Mosque and Shaanxi History Museum. (B+L)
In the morning, you will be guided to stroll City Wall Park, where you can not only observe local life but also learn some moves of Tai Chi martial art from a master. After that, ascend the old City Wall, which was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD). If interested, you can try biking on the wall (the rental fee is at your own expense), an extremely popular fun among tourists.

After lunching at Muslim Quarter, the ultimate destination for local street food, we will find some peace at the Chinese-style Great Mosque. We will also explore Shaanxi History Museum to know more about Chinese history and culture.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Local lunch
Day 7 Xi'an - Chengdu
Take a high-speed train to Chengdu & transfer to hotel. (B)
Finish breakfast and you will catch a bullet train to Chengdu. On arriving at the airport in 4 hours, you will meet our guide and be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Have fun enjoying your free time.

Meal Suggestion:
Now that you are in Chengdu, why not try hotpot - a dining experience where people gather to eat vegetables and meat simmered in a pot of boiling broth - in your meal time? It’s the most representative food of Chengdu, synonymous with passion and energy. According to historical records, it was first enjoyed as fast food by Qing-era aristocrats, and only later in time had its fame spread across the entire city to be a popular specialty. Spicy, energizing, hotpot has now become a classical local dish. If you can’t wait to try, our local expert guide would be glad to recommend some restaurants for you.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Accommodation: Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza (4 stars)
Day 8 Chengdu
Visit Giant Panda Base, Wide and Narrow Alleys, and Jinsha Site Museum; taste local Gai Wan tea and see the Chinese matchmaking corner at Renmin Park. (B)
In the hometown of giant pandas, of course we won’t miss Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. We will set out early to watch those adorable creatures chewing bamboo and goofing around.

At noontime, explore for authentic local cuisine at Wide and Narrow Alley. Continue to Jinsha Site Museum, where to find the Gold Foil of Sun and Immortal Bird, symbolic of the ancient Shu civilization that thrived over 3,000 years ago. It’s so monumental, though only 12.5 cm (4.9 in) in diameter, that its image is used by China Cultural Heritage as its logo. It has a sun and four birds around it, which suggests an ancient worship towards the sun and the belief that birds were holy creatures carrying the wingless sun up to and down from the sky. Thrillingly, almost all ancient societies seemed to deem the sun sacred in one way or another; take ancient Egypt, for example, where scarabs were revered as a manifestation of the sun god.
